This was her fifth unplanned pregnancy, and she had made up her mind that abortion was her only option. Despite this, we continued meeting with her, offering education, resources, support, and simply words of encouragement during this challenging time. We built a beautiful connection, and she quickly captured my heart. Her kindness, even in the midst of her struggles, was incredibly moving. A year after having her baby, she got the opportunity to work at Turning Point through a state-funded program. The state covered her salary, and our role was to help her prepare for the workplace. And she did just that. She absorbed everything like a sponge, learning as much as she could. Her desire to serve our clients was genuine, as she knew firsthand what it was like to be in their shoes. Over time, we saw her faith grow, her skills develop, and her ability to serve others expand. By the end of the program, we couldn’t imagine Turning Point without her, so we hired her. She remained on staff for several years, and witnessing how the Lord worked in her life and family was a gift. She visited us last week, as we still get together from time to time. Now, she has opened her second business in our community, thriving and making a meaningful impact. This is the true return on your investment – seeing a woman transform into a flourishing, contributing member of our community. This is our hope for every woman who walks through our doors. Unplanned pregnancies are not the end of the story. Abortion is not the only option. Education and empowering women is the answer. Creating generational change is the vision.
